Highland Press Offset Printing

Offset Printing is the process in which an inked image is transferred (or “offset”) from an engraved plate to a rubber blanket, then to the printing surface, like paper. Developed in 1910, it is one of the lowest production cost methods for large quantities. We still use offset printing today, but use a computer-to-plate process.

Customer Service:

At the Highland Press, service is all-important. Our customer service staff assists you from concept to finished product.

Pre-Press:

The Pre-Press department is equipped with the technology to prepare your job for production. We support all major graphics arts applications on both Macintosh and PC platforms.

Pressroom:

Heidleberg is the name and the standard by which other presses are judged. Highland Press has a five-color Heidelberg press for larger production work, a large two-color press, a two-color press designed for smaller jobs, and some antique Heidleberg presses for hand-mounted letter-press runs. Your job will employ the press best suited for your purposes.

Bindery:

Finishing your job may include binding. Our shop is equipped to handle cutting, folding, scoring, numbering, die-cutting, saddle-stitched booklets, perfect-bound books, ring-bound, and more. Read more about our Bindery services here.
